XXIV HLM: “Challenges and Multi-Stakeholder Responses to Peace, Security and Climate Criss”

The Center organized its XXIV High Level Meeting in New York, USA on the 21st and 22nd of September 2022, at the margins of the 77th edition of the United Nations General Assembly with the topic of “Challenges and Multi-Stakeholder Responses to Peace, Security & Climate Crisis”. It brought together political leaders from different regions of the world, scientists, academics, and high-level officials from the United Nations.
The meeting’s objective was to contribute to the analysis and global debate about the most pressing crises of our time. The four-panel and two luncheon sessions encompassed the topics of the impact of the war in Ukraine, how to accelerate actions to counter the climate crisis, the new international security architecture and the role of NATO, the future of the United Nations, and the need for its reform.
XXIV High-Level Meeting was attended by President of Latvia Egils Levits, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama Erika Mouynes, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, UN High Representative on Alliance of Civilizations Dr. Miguel Moratinos, former world leaders, Nobel laureates, deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, and many others.
In the framework of the High-Level Meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Center and United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
