Nizami Ganjavi International Center Hosts XXIII High-Level Meeting in Athens
On 10–11 April 2022, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center held its XXIII High-Level Meeting in Athens, Greece. The event, themed “Challenges to the Global World Order,” served as a preparatory meeting for the IX Global Baku Forum.
The meeting began with an update on the Center’s status and registration process, presented by Co-Chair Dr. Ismail Serageldin. Discussions then focused on pressing global issues, including “Ukraine War: What Does it Mean for the World Order?”, “Rethinking the Global Security Architecture,” and “Is Multilateralism Dying?”
The event brought together prominent international figures, including former Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, former Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, former First Lady of Ukraine Kateryna Yushchenko, former Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Amr Moussa, former Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, former Presidents of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and Petar Stoyanov, 73rd President of the UN General Assembly Maria Espinosa, former Presidents of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Ivo Josipovic, former President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic, former Prime Minister of Moldova Chiril Gaburici, Co-Chair of the Center Ismail Serageldin, and former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia Eka Tkeshelashvili.
The meeting provided an important platform for discussing global challenges and strengthening international cooperation.
